Position Summary

This role exists to remove friction between Ferche's product/technical knowledge and the architects who specify it. The Specialist becomes the department's institutional memory on product, part numbers, and detailing — freeing senior architectural sales resources to focus on relationship growth and closing —while serving as a credible, brand-forward presenter of AIA continuing education content to architects nationally.

Key Responsibilities & Value Drivers

•    Product & Part-Number Mastery — Learn Ferche's full architectural/commercial product line, SKU and part-number structure to the point of being a go-to internal resource — reducing quote errors and spec rework.

•    Project Detailing — Support the team in detailing commercial and architectural projects (profiles, species, finishes, fire-rated and code-driven applications) so proposals go out faster and more accurately.

•    AIA Presentations — Deliver polished, on-brand AIA continuing-education presentations to architects nationally via Teams — building Ferche's credibility and top-of-funnel pipeline with the design community.

•    Quoting Support — Build and manage quotes in the Quotient tool with speed and accuracy, shortening quote-to-response cycle time and supporting sales velocity.

•    Cross-Functional Liaison — Act as a subject-matter bridge between architects, sales, and production — flagging product or process gaps that affect win rate or margin.

What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)

•    Independently fields 80%+ of routine product/part-number questions without escalation.

•    Owns AIA presentation calendar; delivers sessions with consistently strong architect engagement and follow-up requests.

•    Turns around standard Quotient quotes within an agreed SLA, with error rate trending toward zero.

•    Recognized by the sales team as a force multiplier — not a bottleneck — on technical detailing questions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

•    Genuine interest in wood, architectural detail, and premium/branded products — this shows up in how they talk about the work, not just their resume.

•    Comfortable presenting to a professional audience (architects) on video; poised, articulate, brand-conscious on camera.

•    Detail-oriented and technically curious — able to go deep on specs, tolerances, and code requirements without losing the big picture.

•    Organized self-starter who can manage a national presentation calendar and a live quoting queue simultaneously.

•    Background in architecture, interior design, millwork/building products, or construction documentation preferred; will train the right generalist.
