Many people select a single room for the application of a beamed ceiling - a den, library or dining room.
Beams are made of 2 sides and 1 bottom component. They may range in size from 3 1/2" to 9 1/4" wide or tall. The photo above shows beams in a stained hard maple. The one to the side is a natural cherry. Any species may be manufactured per your request.
EZ Beam's interlocking, tongue-and-groove design ensures a failsafe registration of parts. The beading detail with its groove on the side offers a shadow into which the fastener disappears.

Blocking to be low moisture, kiln dried lumber (6-8%)) or plywood. |

Nail one side to blocking. Clamp and nail through side into bottom. |

Clamp opposite side . Nail through groove into bottom and into blocking. |
