Heavy Princeton
The "Heavy Princeton" works well with traditional or colonial design. This package contains a bevel casing, similar to the Princeton package, but thicker and wider, giving your mouldings more "visual weight" and better proportion.
The crown has been "enlarged" with the addition of a base moulding behind it, giving the ceiling moulding a heavier look at a cost less than using a one piece crown of the same perceived size.
The chair rail is wider with a more defined profile shape, creating more contour shadows, which adds interest.
The base shown is comprised of a hardwood veneer over a MDF (medium density fiberboard) core with a solid hardwood top edge. This product is less expensive than a solid base of the same size and has the advantage of being available in all 16' pieces.
