Walnut
Walnut is a beautiful wood. You may find it used more for fine furniture than in mouldings, but as a moulding creates a statement of distinction, quality and good taste. Walnut is one of the most expensive domestic woods. The characteristic dark color comes from the trees' heartwood. You may find minimal light colored portions or streaks within a moulding. which comes from the outer portion of the tree called sapwood. |
